Did Someone Say Free S'Mores?
Yep - free s'mores offered at Ferndale's Local Kitchen and Bar at midnight Thursday through Saturday nights.
When the clock strikes midnight, plan to be at Local Kitchen and Bar if you're in the mood for a late-night snack.
The new restaurant, which opened in August in the former Via Nove location at 344 W. Nine Mile Road, is offering free s'mores at midnight on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in front of their wood-burning fireplace.
You can expect more than the traditional marshmallow, graham crackers and chocolate combo. Local mixes it up a bit with sides like candy, fruit and more, said general manager Kim Drouillard.

Local is also planning to roll out a new lunch menu next week. Starting Nov. 19, they'll be open for lunch every weekday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch specials for $10 will include house blended burger (brisket, short rib and chuck) with homemade french fries, grilled cheese and daily soup, and whitefish sandwich with salad.
