Club Bart's Walls Are Empty

The longtime Ferndale icon closed June 26 for good. The once action-packed walls are now bare.

The walls are bare. is gone.

The longtime Ferndale bar, restaurant, venue for everything, . Owner Bart Starks sold the space, and it is to become a European-American bistro.

Peering inside now reveals a sight of bare walls, chairs stacked on other chairs and an empty stage that was once one of the most unique in the city is now gathering dust.

The inside will be gutted for the new bistro, but that work hasn't started yet. Right now, it looks as if it is just clearing out all of what was Club Bart.

The good news is that some of the tried-and-true aspects of Club Bart have found new homes in Ferndale.
