Freeze Warning for Ferndale?! Events to Beat the Bad Weather

The unseasonal warmth is over for now, so this list of local (indoor) happenings is for you.

One week it was snowing and wet with a wind that was pretty brutal, while just a couple weeks later, locals were strutting around is shorts, sunglasses and frappes … in March.

What’s going on here?

Well, the reasons are debatable, but there’s one thing to know for sure: That warm spurt is over for now and you’ve probably noticed when that cold wind hit your face this morning.

The weather forecast this week isn’t kind. Temps today won’t even hit 50 degrees and the low tonight is very, well, typical of March, dipping to 28 degrees. Compared to last week’s sunny skies and record-breaking highs, the following days aren’t much better, with temperatures hovering in the 40s and 50s.

So, this means there’s one more thing that could be looming in the forecast: cabin fever.
