Weekend Countdown: One Last Call

F3 ends with a bang: Day of thrillers planned.

Day three of the film festival offers some more films at the Ferndale Public Library: Fractured Mind, Strong From Detroit, Apple Simple, Tree of the Valkyrie, Johnny Mathis PSA, Mushroom Hunt, Thistle, Atroz, Beneath the Veneer of a Murder, Out of Wonderland, Over Games and Gentleman's Club. is free, so stop in for some film viewing.

The Ferndale Film Festival concludes at Blumz with:

  • Larkin- Orin  Mazzoni - After the brutal beating and rape of his wife, Detective Sam Larkin has chosen to isolate himself not only within the confines of a dark motel room, but within his own mind. Through his seclusion, visions of both times past and futures lost rage war within his very soul. Now he must find a way to reconcile his sorrow, before he is consumed with his lust for revenge.
  • One Last Call - Scott Sprague - A young man, Tom, and his newly found friend, Dodge, venture out on a night's binge of sin that leads them to their final temptation in the young woman known only as Red Dress. 
  • Playing with Matches - Alan Ledford -Gil Squid, a now ex middle school janitor, decides it's the right time to go fro his dream retirement only to meet Robin, who puts a kink in his plan.
  • One of Five - Mike Madigan - Two willing participants face of in a series of questions to determine if their own life or the life of their fellow man is deemed more important.
  • My Brother - Jack Uppling - In what may be their last  week together, two opposing brothers are forced to confront their relationship at a whole new level.
  • Wool - Andy Blockno - A detective is conflicted with the gruesome insight of a crime scene investigation. While trying to understand the psyche of a killer, she is unaware of a glaring detail.
