Check out a sick and twisted event that kicks off Thursday and has been sprinkled around the holidays.

Spike Decker and Mike Gribble have been producing and showcasing new animation for almost three decades, a pretty big feat when you consider that Mike has been dead for more than 15 years, the Magic Bag says. The festival plays to sold out houses regularly throughout North America.

  • When: Doors open at 8, film begins at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, Dec. 27, Dec. 28 and Dec. 30. A special late show is offered at 10 p.m. Dec. 30.
  • Cost: Tickets are $8 at the door. All shows 18 and older.
  • Why Go: Check out 24 sick and twisted concoctions from the people that theatrically premiered Beavis & Butthead, South Park, Wallace & Gromit and the first Pixar animation shorts ever produced in this uncensored, 90-minute show. Some of the films that will be featured include the sick new title, Daisy, as well as the Animation vs. Animator series. Also check out shorts from the Animation Workshop in Denmark, such as The Saga of Biorn, Draw Poker and Captain Awesome. Spike & Mike are also proud to present classic films Barflies and Beyond Grandpa 2, as well as a new entry, Happy Tree Friends: See You Later, Elevator.
