The Berkley African American Parent Network presents a February series for Black History Month, which will feature some local events hosted by the cultural opportunities committee.

On President's Day, celebrate Black History at the Henry Ford Museum with free admission.

Meet at 11 a.m. at the museum café and explore the Henry Ford exhibitions in black history and civil rights. Exhibits include the real bus Rosa Parks sat on fueling the bus boycott.

In October of 2011, the Berkley African American Parent Network (BAAPN) officially launched to address gaps that exist and provide a way to network with each other about helpful resources, learning activities and new opportunities.
