Art Exhibit Opens, Ferndale High School Fall Play and More This Weekend

Donald Kilpatrick: Wish Diamonds

Donald Kilpatrick's first solo exhibition will be presented at The Butcher's Daughter from Saturday, Nov. 17 through Dec. 22. An opening reception will be held on Nov. 17 from 6-9 p.m. According to the gallery's web site, Kilpatrick is widely known for his work in illustration and letterpress. His first solo exhibition "delves deeper into personal thematic content, conceptual ideology, and the sculptural considerations of printmaking," the web site states. Find more information here.

Ferndale High School fall play

The Ferndale High School Student Enterprise Theatre is presenting the play Bus Stop, a romantic comedy by William Inge at the FHS auditorium. Check it out at 7:30 p.m. Saturday or at 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are priced at $7 for adults, $5 for students/senior citizens and $3 for children under 12. Find more information here.

Ferndale Library bake sale

The Mega '80s

The Mega 80's bring back all of the fads, the fashions and the music of the 1980s. Check it out Saturday at the Magic Bag, 22920 Woodward Ave., and see why the readers of Real Detroit Weekly voted them "the best cover band in the city.” Doors open at 8 p.m., $10. Ages 21 and older.
