Missionaries in Ferndale are promoting a message of repentance ahead of the Good News Mission conference next week in Detroit.
Missionaries stationed near the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Woodward Avenue in Ferndale are promoting a message of repentance ahead of the Good News Mission conference next week.
The volunteers, who are distributing literature and chatting with passers-by near the intersection during the week and going door-to-door on the weekend, hail from across the country and around the world.
"So many people misunderstand about repentance," Pastor Ban Seok Kim of Indianapolis, IN, said. "That is why (our church is holding) this conference."

The event kicks off Monday, April 29, and runs through Thursday, May 2, at Bethel AME Church located at 5050 St. Antoine St. in Detroit.
