A lot of things happened this past week that was good, bad and pretty cool.
The bad news was the after nearly five years of business on the corner of Allen and West Nine Mile. Owner Jon Glab said that they weren't making any money because of the recession and just couldn't do it anymore. The corner bakery/sandwich/pizza joint will be missed.
Good news is that , holding a receptions that brought five former mayors under one roof. Also, held the event that collected everyday items for the troops over seas.

Finally, the pretty cool news: The Pistons held a motivational assembly at where speaker Aaron Smith talked about being respectful, kind and well behaved. They brought the Pistons mascot Hooper along for a little entertainment. (Story will run Friday but here is a few of the photos to tide you over.)
