Power Outages Continue in Ferndale

DTE's outage map showed 410 customers still without power as of late Sunday night - down significantly from earlier Sunday when more than 1,200 customers were without power.

The largest remaining outage area has an estimated restoration time of between 9:30-11:30 a.m. Monday.

How are you dealing with the outages?

While some areas have been , residents in certain parts of Ferndale have reported losing power days later, or having their power restored briefly only to lose it again.

Last year, DTE offered a $25 credit to residents who filed a claim after an outage.

"You better believe we'll be applying for a credit," wrote Patch reader Kathryn on Ferndale Patch's Facebook page on Friday.

"My new goal for the summer... Research and raise awareness for alternative energy methods so that we are not reliant on DTE, and they can't get as much of our money," another reader, Nic, posted on Saturday.
