Crowds packed Ferndale this weekend during the annual DIY Street Fair and Funky Ferndale Art Fair celebrations.

Visitors from throughout Metro Detroit and beyond enjoyed food, music and art Friday through Sunday along the Nine Mile Road corridor on either side of Woodward Avenue.

Damien Hirst of Bloomfield Hills, who sported a blond Mohawk Saturday, said he came for the "cool art" and that his favorite part of the events was seeing the Suicide Machines perform Friday night.
