Oakland County Employees Spend Lunch Break With Adoptable Dogs

More than 60 Oakland County employees spent their lunch break on Thursday walking dogs currently available for adoption at the Oakland Pet Adoption Center.

The 15 dogs were brought to the county complex in Pontiac as part of a new county wellness program called Fitness Unleashed, which runs through Oct. 31 at various county buildings.

“They loved it, they absolutely loved it – the dogs and the employees,” Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said in a press release. “It gives the employees a chance to get a little exercise and the dogs got some exercise too.”
