Get Those Leaves to the Curb, Ferndale!

Last official day for leaf pick-up is Nov. 30.

Time is almost up to get your leaves to the curb if you want them picked up before the snow falls.

Leaf pick-up officially ends at the end of November, so residents have until Friday to place leaves at the curb, Ferndale Department of Public Works Director Loyd Cureton said on Tuesday.

It's possible that the trucks could make a few more appearances after that date, though.

"We'll be officially wrapping up by the end of this month, however if we find that people are still putting out leaves we'll continue to pick up piles until the snow flies," he said.

"The last thing that we want to do is have a snowfall and push the leaves back onto peoples' lawns," Cureton said. "We'd much rather if they can place the leaves at the curb now, we'd like to pick them up now."
