Have You Seen the Ferndale Yeti?

Another interesting new Facebook page you might 'like.'

We talked last week about and we have another one for the list: "Ferndale Yeti Watch."

Yep - it's a page dedicated to yeti (aka Bigfoot, Sasquatch) sightings in the Ferndale area (or not - see for yourself!). It was started Nov. 12 and has 52 'likes' so far.

The page description reads, "This page is dedicated to Research and Sighting information surrounding the elusive Ferndale Yeti. Feel free to share your experiences here."

We wouldn't know about the site if not for the Ferndale Normal page on Facebook - another one you don't want to miss! Also be sure to 'like' Ferndale Patch!

Maybe Ferndale will wake up and finally realize the danger that the Yeti poses to our community.

I propose we make the Yeti our official community mascot....let us embrace his/her presence in our fair town!

perhaps the Yeti could be trained as an auxiliary police officer, patrolling in exchange for a safe community to call home

He may be feeding of the legalized chicken coops? Or, Bacon .. Squatches love bacon. Where are the police on this?!

Damn it the yeti pooped in my backyard again. Someone needs to stop the madness of the yeti.

Just a precautionary note, Yeti activity is typically highest near and during a Full Moon. The next Full moon phase is just 2 short weeks away, Friday December 28. This also lands between several holidays, which may be distracting and cause you to lower your guard.

Last evening a report of a Yeti sighted atop the Ferndale Library who was apparently feeding on the natural grass roof. A resident from the nearby lofts spotted the creature, first thinking it was just a shadow, until it lumbered across the roof to a new grazing spot. The resident scrambled for a camera but the beast was gone before they got back. Local police will neither confirm nor deny the alleged incident. http://www.facebook.com/ferndaleyetiwatch

FULL MOON PHASE - YETI SIGHTING. FULL MOON Tonight Friday Dec. 28, 10:31pm. Much of the research that has been done on this subject has involved sighting Yeti, and many watchers swear that watching by moon phase is the only way to accurately predict Yeti activity. http://www.facebook.com/FerndaleYetiWatch
