Gleaners Teams Up with Kroger to Raise Funds, Donations

Hope at the Table volunteers will gather monetary and food donations at the Ferndale Kroger location next Saturday.

This month, Gleaners Community Food Bank and Kroger are working together to bring hope to the tables of hungry southeast Michiganders.

Each Saturday in January, volunteers will be spending their day at local Kroger grocery stores across southeast Michigan, handing out information about the Bringing Hope to the Table initiative, as well as accepting donations of nonperishable food and money from shoppers.

Volunteers will be out at the Ferndale Kroger next Saturday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., in addition to other locations in Oakland County.

The Ferndale Kroger store is located at 8920 West 8 Mile Road.

Volunteers for Bringing Hope to the Table will be in Macomb County Kroger stores on Jan. 12 and Livingston and Monroe counties on Jan. 26.
