Closing the Laptops for a Night: The Ferndale Patch Launch Party

It's time to celebrate, get a night off and enjoy what we've been writing about for five weeks: Ferndale.

Ferndale Patch. It wasn't nearly as cold, there wasn't any snow, and school elections were still held in May. Now all of that has changed. It's pretty freakin' cold out there, the snow has turned into chunks of ice, and the (it also now has six-year terms instead of four).

Other things have happened during the past five weeks, too, as you can imagine.

That's just a small piece of the nearly 175 articles we've written about Ferndale – already, (nearly) 175. That's cause for a celebration, if I do say so myself.

So that's what we're having.

Tonight at the , we're putting away our laptops for a few hours, closing our notebooks and pretending we're not actually thinking about the site.

We're starting at 7 p.m. with complimentary food, DJ (Ferndale Patch music columnist, too) spinning records and a presentation by the
