  1. The Ferndale Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Harding Administration Center.
  2. A group obedience course with instructor Brian Walsh of Walsh’s K9 will kick off Tuesday, April 23, at Canine to Five. Visit www.caninetofiveferndale.com or call 248-556-5675 for more information.
  3. Blues-rock favorites The Muggs , at the Magic Bag. The band recently compiled Full Tilt, a double-LP vinyl recorded last autumn in the Cadieux Cafe down in east-side Detroit.
  4. A monument in honor of Army Staff Sgt. Matthew Leach of Ferndale will be dedicated Saturday, April 27, at American Legion Post 374 in Berkley. Leach died June 26, 2012, while on active duty in Afghanistan.
  5. Coolidge Intermediate School will hold its talent show at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Ferndale High School. Tickets cost $5.
