  1. The Ferndale Fire Department will make its presentation to City Council regarding potential firefighter layoffs at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, during a budget hearing at City Hall. 
  2. A poetry reading featuring four Michigan poets will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Ferndale Public Library.
  3. The Science Fiction Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Ferndale Public Library to discuss the Hugo Award-winning I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison.
  4. The community is invited to help shape the Woodward Complete Streets master plan during a series of interactive events April 17-19 at St. James Catholic Church in Ferndale.
  5. A Woodward Avenue rapid transit forum will held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at St. James Catholic Church in Ferndale.
