FHS Student Enterprise Theatre presents BUS STOP Nov. 15-18

Who: The Ferndale High School Student Enterprise Theatre (SET)

What: Presenting Bus Stop, a romantic comedy by William Inge

Where: Ferndale High School Auditorium, 881 Pinecrest, Ferndale

When: Thursday, November 15, 7:30 pm*

             Friday, November 16, 7:30 pm
             Saturday, November 17, 7:30 pm

             Sunday, November 18, 3:00 pm**

How to Buy Tickets: Tickets at the box office: $7.00 adults, $5.00 students/senior citizens, $3.00 children under 12.

*Proceeds from the opening night show (Thursday, Nov. 15) will benefit Student Enterprise Theatre scholarships. Last year we were able to give two scholarships to our seniors and we'd like to increase the number of scholarships as well as the amounts. 

 

**A Senior Citizen Reception will take place on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 2:00 in the FHS media center. Any and all senior citizens can come for some finger food and beverages prior to the 3:00 curtain. The reception is free, no reservations required and tickets to the show are only $5.00 for senior citizens. We are partnered with the FHS National Honor Society; members will help set up, serve and clean up.

Ferndale High School is located in the southwestern edge of town, along Pinecrest Drive. The school serves Ferndale and Pleasant Ridge, as well as portions of Royal Oak Township and Oak Park. The school offers a number of clubs and activities, as well as regionally recognized athletic programs and an award winning marching band. Principal Herbert Ivory, an alumnus of Grant School and Ferndale High School, has been principal of FHS since 1998. In 2006, Ivory won the South Oakland County NAACP Freedom Fighter Award for his long-time contribution to Ferndale Public Schools.

Beyond the core curriculum, FHS offers an extensive lineup of award-winning performing arts, physical education, advanced placement and honors courses. Furthermore, students can select advanced placement courses through the Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts (CASA).
