Widely known for his work in illustration and letterpress, Kilpatrick has created a new body of work for his first solo exhibition at The Butcher's Daughter that delves deeper into personal thematic content, conceptual ideology, and the sculptural considerations of printmaking.
Kilpatrick explores ideologies of convention through a loose narrative that addresses themes of allegory and affectation that posit the hazards of blind ambition.

More About The Butcher's Daughter
The Butcher's Daughter contemporary art gallery opened in 2009 and is focused on the representation and sale of emerging and mid-career artist's work. The gallery creates innovative, cultural context for art through bi-monthly exhibitions, public events and personalized services for every level of collector. The owner (daughter, grand daughter and sister of a butcher), Monica Bowman, holds a master's degree in museum studies from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and a specialization in contemporary art from Sotheby's Institute of Art in New York. Bowman teaches at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, is a native Michigander and resides with her husband in Ferndale.
