DESCRIPTION:How many teenagers do you know who have flown an airplane and
  been involved in real missing persons searches? Civil Air Patrol cadets
  have done this\, and much more. The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the offic
 ial auxiliary of the United States Air Force with over 61\,000 members a
 cross the nation. CAP is not a millitary recruiting branch\, it is an al
 l volunteer\, non-profit organization with cadets ranging in ages from 1
 2 to 21 years old. CAP is charted with three missions: Emergency Service
 s\, which includes Search and Rescue (both air and ground) and local dis
 aster relief\; Aerospace Education for both its members and the general 
 public\; and a Cadet Program to help all members develop strong teamwork
  and leadership skills.The South Oakland Cadet Squadron meets at the U.S
  Army Reserve center\, located at 26402 W 11 Mile Rd\, Southfield MI. Th
 ey will be hosting an open house June 19th from 7-9pm for anyone interes
 ted in learning more about this outstanding organization. The meeting wi
 ll include light refreshments and the chance to speak with current cadet
 s and adult members about all the opportunities CAP has to offer. Please
