DESCRIPTION:Michigan Works! Career Center has formed a new group designed
  to specifically address the unique needs of the 21st Century Worker.&nb
 sp\; The groups will meet at Ferndale\, Royal Oak\, Clawson\, and Madiso
 n Heights Public Libraries (see schedule) and the objective of the free 
 two-hour meetings is to help workers focus on a career.\n&ldquo\;Along w
 ith having to be able to adapt quickly to new technology\, work environm
 ents\, and career opportunities\, the 21st Century Worker must master th
 e entrepreneurial skills of taking charge of his/her own career\,&rdquo\
 ; says Gerard Baltrusaitis\, the Training and Workshop Coordinator at Mi
 chigan Works! &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&ldquo\;The Career Club is a new concept in 
 career development and it is a critical tool for assisting the 21st Cent
 ury worker address the need for continuous learning.\n&nbsp\;&ldquo\; We
 ekly the Career Club focuses on topics such as Free Agency\, Personal Br
 anding\, and YOUtrepreneurial skills.&nbsp\; Instead of short-term solut
 ions\, the Career Club and its members address the bigger picture by plo
 tting a course for professional development\, networking\, multiple care
 er paths and success in the 21st Century workplace.&nbsp\; The objective
  is to return control to the worker\, in these economically challenging 
 times.&rdquo\;\nThe Michigan Works! System is the first unified workforc
 e development system in the country and an instrumental partner for deve
 loping Michigan&rsquo\;s economic future.&nbsp\; Services offered throug
 h Michigan Works! are designed to prepare job seekers for employment and
  provide skilled applicants to employers.\nThe Michigan Works! workforce
  development system means jobs for people and people for jobs. Whether i
 ts assistance in finding qualified workers or finding employment\, every
  employer\, job seeker and worker can access services offered through Mi
