Whiz Kid: Carolyn Berryman
John F. Kennedy School student plays the classical guitar, loves to swim and is no stranger to public speaking.

Accomplishment: Carolyn is the youngest person to participate in the Royal Oak Optimist Club Oratorical Competition and the first from the Ferndale School District. She studies classical guitar through Suzuki Royal Oak. She is a member of Birmingham Blue Dolphins swim team that won the championship for the 2010-11 season. She loves to swim and her favorites are the back and butterfly strokes. Carolyn is a member of the JFK band and plays the flute. She is also a member of the Peep Program at JFK, which helps kids that are having difficulty. She loves helping others, even if just by volunteering to be present. She is very determined and does not take failure as an option.
