What's Up in Ferndale This Weekend?

Things to do this weekend in Ferndale. Plus, remember parking is free through March 11.

 

1. Parking is free

Whatever you do this weekend, remember this: Parking is free on Friday and Saturday (it's always free on Sundays). Parking will be free in downtown Ferndale every day through March 11. More info on the extended 'free parking holiday' here.

2. Free yoga

Saturday morning yoga is now offered at the Ferndale Public Library. It is free to attend and no registration is required. Class begins at 10:15 a.m. Saturday mornings. Beginner level. More info here.

3. Book-inspired exhibit

A new art exhibition at the Ferndale Public Library celebrates literature’s ability to inspire with dazzling depictions and vivid visions of spellbound readers, and book covers real or re-imagined. “For the Love of Reading,” running from Saturday, March 2 – Sunday, April 21, is held in concurrence with “Ferndale Reads” and “The Day of Books and Roses.” Find more information here.

4. 'Year of the Snake' exhibit

Stop by the new StoreFront Gallery, located at 477 W. Marshall in Ferndale, and check out works from four artists/crafters and one baker. Hours are 5-9 p.m. Friday and 3-9 p.m. Saturday. Find more information here.

5. Flashclash at the Magic Bag

Electronic dance-pop band Flashclash, with The Hounds Below, Phantasmagoria and Autumn Wolf, will perform at the Magic Bag in Ferndale on Saturday, March 2. Doors open at 8 p.m.; tickets $10. More information here.
