What's the Best Place for Pastry in Ferndale?

Tuesday is Mardi Gras – or as it's better known around here, Fat Tuesday – which got us to thinking about paczki and doughnuts in general. Mmmm ...

We're on a quest to rate the best of the best in Ferndale. So far, we've asked you about gymscoffee shopsnail salonsbarber shops, unique gift shops, and the best place for breakfastToday the topic is doughnuts.

Visit Ferndale Patch Places to find great places for doughnuts, bagels, pastries and, of course, paczki. Then vote for your favorite spot by 9 a.m. Friday and we'll post a story at noon declaring the winner.

They are all so different in what I would go to them for:
NY Bagel - there is no other bagel for me
Pinwheel - You have not had banana bread until you taste Anne's over at Pinwheel
Apple Fritter - that is the paczki place - in and outside of Ferndale.
Dunkin Donuts - love thier coffee and Iced Coffee
Tim Hortons - well, if I am on that side of Woodward and am in a hurry.

New York Bagel: Best bagels in Ferndale, or anywhere else
Apple Fritter Donut Shop: Best donuts in Ferndale bar none.
Pinwheel Bakery: Best scones anywhere.
Tim Horton's and Dunkin: no need to go there because we have Apple Fitter.

Pinwheel is the best. Vegan brownie is to die for and I am not even a vegan. Anne is so talented that everything she makes not only tastes amazing but also looks great. She is one very talented lady!
