What's Open and Closed in Ferndale on New Year's Day
City offices, grocery stores, the library and others change their schedules for the holiday.
Are you staying in town for the holiday? Here's everything you might need to know about what's open and when:
Grocery stores
Hosting a New Year’s Day dinner? Need more beverages for your Rose Bowl game party? Don't fear, here's what will be open on Tuesday:
- Ferndale Foods, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Kroger, 7 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Sav-A-Lot, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Western Market, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Natural Food Patch, 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
Around town
Ferndale city offices at City Hall will be closed Tuesday, reopening at 8 a.m. Wednesday. For any problems, contact the Ferndale Police at 248-541-3650. The Fire Department can be reached at 248-546-2512, but for an emergency, dial 911.
The Ferndale Post Office will be closed Tuesday for the holiday (no delivery, too). The post office will resume normal business hours Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.-7 p.m.
The Ferndale Public Library will also be closed New Year's Day.
