There’s plenty of activities and events happening around Ferndale this weekend. Here’s some highlights to get you started on your weekend plans.
Meet the Artisans
A "Meet the Artisans" benefit for the Boys & Girls Club of South Oakland County will be held at Blumz by JR Designs beginning at 6:30 p.m. today. The evening will include food and art with more than 20 artists displaying work from jewelry to one-of-a-kind hats, skin care products, handmade exotic wood boxes and more.
Proceeds from the silent auction of items donated by the artisans will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club. Admission is free.

Go Comedy All Star Showdown
Head to Go Comedy! Improv Theater for the 8 p.m. game show Saturday. The interactive an improvised game show is one part “Whose Line is it Anyway” and one part “Match Game PM.”
The audience can be involved if they’d like and the show features short improve games and challenges. The cost is $15.

Concert for a cause
The country-meets-punk band The Briscoe County Vultures will be playing at their regular venue this weekend, but this time for a special cause.
Head to the New Way Bar for the monthly Saturday Afternoon Hoedown from 5-7 p.m. and donate to help send Coolidge Intermediate School fourth graders to science camp.

JFK on Broadway
More than 100 students from John F. Kennedy Elementary school will take the stage for their production of JFK on Broadway this weekend.
The musical features the best of Broadway and will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at Ferndale High School. The cost is $5.
