Vote for the Best of Everything in Ferndale
You nominated your favorites in more than 20 categories; now it's time to cast your vote for Ferndale Patch's 2012 Readers' Choice awards.
There is a lot to celebrate about Ferndale: great activities, food, shops and services.
But what's the best?
Earlier this summer, we asked you to help us gather nominations for Patch Readers' Choice 2012. For three weeks in June and July, you told us about your favorite preschools, restaurants and hair salons.
Now it's time to put those nominations to a vote.
Cast your vote by Aug. 17 and help us decide who's best. Whichever business gets the most votes will be named the Readers' Choice winner in that category. You must log in to Patch to vote; you may vote once in each category. The winners will be announced Aug. 24.
Happy voting!

Stein McGee is the best Hairstylist! and I am not sure how Pole Addiction did not get nominated for best girls night out in Ferndale. 7 years and 350 parties and 3500 women and thats just girls night out. That does not even count the pole and aerial classes.

I'm writing in to vote for Pole Addiction for best girls night out!
Also Pole Addiction/Aerial Dragonfly for aerial arts classes as best way to get fit!!! SOOOOO MUCH FUN! I cannot believe you left them out.
Also, agreed, Stein is an awesome hair-stylist.... (you should go see her!) :)

Stein McGee is not only a amazing person but she does very outstanding work. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Guarantee you will leave with a feeling of self cofidence and "turn heads" everywhere. She is simply the best!

Some of these were a tough call - burgers at The Emory and One-Eyed Betty's are both pretty damn awesome. And "outdoor dining" is REALLY tough because Como's has hands-down the best patio but nowhere near the best food - pretty much everyone else on the list has better food but Como's patio is so big and laid back and fun!
How come John D Bistro didn't make the date night list? We thought it was pretty romantic! We go to Betty's, Rosie's, or the Emory a lot more often, but I'd go to all those places with friends too. John D is more of a date place, I don't think it'd be that good for a group.

The list was made up from nominations that the Patch solicited from readers for weeks. The nominations were made in the comment area under each category. I nominated businesses in several categories and every business that was mentioned by me or anyone else in the comments for that category showed up on the ballot. For example: http://ferndale.patch.com/articles/nominate-the-best-date-night-spot-in-ferndale . If your favorite business didn't make the list it's because they weren't nominated this year...be sure to nominate them next year!
