University High School students and their families filled the Ridler Field House at Lawrence Technological University's campus on Thursday evening. The high school partnered with Lawrence Tech in providing a commencement ceremony for the 2011 graduating class.
In addition to handing out diplomas, faculty commemorated National Honor Society students and awarded scholarships to some of the students.
This year's valedictorian Jessica Millender closed the commencement address with some words by F. Scott Fitzgerald, "It's never to late to be whomever you want to be. You can make the best or the worst out of life. But I hope that you make the best out of it."
