These Coolidge Intermediate School students were demonstrating a math game on Saturday during the Ferndale Schools Extravaganza. "It shows people what we are doing in school and how we learn most of our stuff," said Patshay Harbin (pictured here, middle). "It's easy and fun," she said of the math activity, called the Factor Game.

Ferndale Public Schools hosted its annual Extravaganza and All-City Concerts on Saturday, drawing local families to Ferndale High School throughout the day for hands-on learning activities, concerts and more.

The event is organized each year to provide a one-day preview of the all the programs offered by the district from preschool through high school.

I wasn't able to be there the whole time so I didn't catch those, but on Monday I'm hoping to get some photos from the district to add to the gallery. We'd love for parents to share some of their photos, too! :-)
