Nominate the Best Day Care or Preschool in Ferndale

Let us know which day care or preschool is the best in Ferndale so we can put it to a vote and name a Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

What's the best day care or preschool in Ferndale?

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows the about Ferndale to nominate the best day care in town.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Sign up for the Ferndale Patch Newsletter to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite local businesses when the voting begins.

Ferndale Montessori for its wonderful staff and for its terrific results. Our children are extremely well-prepared for school by the time they're finished there. With Montessori methods, the kids forge their own academic paths; and they become engaged, confident, peaceful, and responsible little members of a community in the process.

Ferndale Little Eagles is excellent! It is T/Th mornings for 3 year olds and MWF mornings for 4 year olds (hard to find this type of program anymore). Mrs. Walker, who teaches both age groups, is amazing! The kids have a balanced program of learning social skills, pre-school "academics," and most importantly, play based learning. Love it.

Grant Early Childhood Center is wonderful. Classes are mon-th, some are all day others are half days. The site supervisor Mrs. Watts is amazing she takes the time to learn every child's name. Mrs.Ray and Mrs. Ossie are exceptional teachers. I couldn't ask for better .

Grant Early Childhood Center also offers speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and a worker from the Department of Human Services. A family liaison works with parents who might need additional services.

Grant Early Childhood Education Center is a family-oriented, pre-school program, with excellent, dedicated and hard-working staff members. As a former parent with a son who have graduated from Grant, I applaud the outstanding work that the Teachers, other staff members and parents did (and still work hard to this very day) to create a safe, friendly and sanitary environment for the students, as well as allowing the students to successfully learn the essentials of their academics.

Drayton Avenue Co-op preschool continues to offer social and educational activities for many 2-4 year old kids. Those families who embrace the spirit of the co-op really benefit from it! I have met a lot of great families through the Co-op and they continue to be some my closest friends. Ferndale families are very fortunate to have so many choices!
