Need to Know: WAB Food Truck Rally on Saturday

The all-day event will include a beer tent, seven food trucks and family-friendly activities.

 

Woodward Avenue Brewers is hosting its first food truck event today.

Emily Husband, manager at the Emory, said the Ferndale Truck Stop was organized to offer a food truck rally that includes a beer tent. Two more events are planned outside the WAB on Aug. 4 and Oct. 6.

"It's going to be a fun day," Husband said. "Come out for lunch, dinner, snacks - we'll be there all day."

Here's what you need to know if you're planning to attend.

"Ferndale Truck Stop"

  • When: 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 23
  • Where: On Troy Street behind the WAB and The Emory.
  • What: A beer tent, seven food trucks and family-friendly activities will be offered. The Detroit Derby Girls will be working inside the beer tent and members of Ferndale Relay for Life will offer children's activities including face-painting and crafts.
