Need to Know: Sunday at DIY Street Fair, Funky Ferndale Art Fair
Here's a look at the hours, activities and live music on tap today at Ferndale's DIY Street Fair and Funky Ferndale Art Fair.
The fifth annual DIY Street Fair and 10th annual Funky Ferndale Art Fair wrap up today in downtown Ferndale, but there's still plenty of time to get out and take part in the fun.
The DIY Street Fair features 130 local vendors offering unique, handmade items. Funky Ferndale is a juried art fair including 120 artists from across the country and here in Ferndale.
Clear, sunny skies are expected Sunday with a high of 79 degrees.

Sunday Hours
- DIY Hours on Sunday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Kids Zone 12-6 p.m., marketplace 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
- Funky Ferndale Hours on Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
DIY Kids Zone activities on Sunday
- Free rock climbing wall 12 p.m.-7 p.m. Closed-toed shoes only. Provided by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
- Free ferris wheel rides 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Dunk tank 12-6 p.m. benefiting Ferndale Public Schools.
- Detroit School of Rock and Pop instrument workshop 12-6 p.m.
- Whole Foods make and take your own healthy trail mix activity 12-6 p.m.
- Hunters of the Sky Presentation 1-2 p.m.
- Meet animals from The Leslie Science & Nature Center 2-4 p.m.
- Performances by Tim the Music Man at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- Face painting 1-5 p.m.
