Here's a look at the hours, activities and live music on tap today at Ferndale's DIY Street Fair and Funky Ferndale Art Fair.

The fifth annual DIY Street Fair and 10th annual Funky Ferndale Art Fair will be in full swing today in downtown Ferndale.
The DIY Street Fair features 130 local vendors offering unique, handmade items. Funky Ferndale is a juried art fair including 120 artists from across the country and here in Ferndale.
Clear, sunny skies are expected Saturday with a high of 73 degrees.

Saturday Hours
- DIY Hours on Saturday: 11 a.m. to midnight (Kids Zone 12-6 p.m.)
- Funky Ferndale Hours on Saturday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
DIY 5K
The first annual DIY 5K is today. Proceeds benefit art programs in Ferndale Public Schools.
- 5k Race at 10 a.m., 1 Mile Fun Run at 10:15 a.m.
- Starts at Woodward Avenue Brewers.
- Day-of registration for 5K is $30; Fun Run $10.

DIY Kids Zone activities on Saturday
All activities are free of charge.
- Rock climbing wall 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Closed-toed shoes only. Provided by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
- Ferris wheel rides 11 a.m. to midnight.
- Dunk tank 12-6 p.m. benefiting Ferndale Public Schools.
- Camp Casey’s horses on display 12-4 p.m. Grooming for a small donation to children’s cancer charity.
- Detroit Institute of Arts hands-on art-making workshop for kids featuring make-and-take projects 12-6 p.m.
- Detroit School of Rock and Pop instrument workshop 12-6 p.m.
- Whole Foods make and take your own healthy trail mix 12-6 p.m.
- Meet animals from The Leslie Science & Nature Center 12-3 p.m.
- Performances by Tim the Music Man at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- Face painting 1-5 p.m.
- Friends of Ferndale Library book sale 12-5 p.m.
- Inside the library: DIY Storytime with Detroit Waldorf School at 2 p.m.; The Brainstormers! “Write-O-Matic” Show at 3 p.m.
