Umm. No.
This is a common technique of speaking for arm chair politicians who don't really have a clue what they're talking about. Just list a whole litany of results you think the crowd might want to see and suggest that you have some secret formula for obtaining those things, when in fact you don't have any idea how you'd go about doing it.
It's the only car in every garage, chicken in every pot speech. Say what everyone wants to hear. Then when it comes time to deliver you find out it was just talk.
No thank you Mr. Willis. You seem like a nice enough fellow. But if this was your audition to spell out what you were planning to do when you became Mayor, as Simon Cowell would say: "You killed this audition. And no, not in a good way. Killing is never good."

Thank God this idiot did not win, our city would have been doomed.

YIKES. This video plus the patch interview where Willis said what Ferndale needs most is a beach (...) baffle me. I agree with nothing he said and don't want to be treated like a "customer." Dave Coulter far and away is the superior candidate for Mayor.
P.S. Tom, we haven't voted yet! That's on Nov 8th!

Hi jmg:
Maybe Tom was referring to Willis' bid to become interim Mayor after Craig Covey resigned. I think Willis and 3 others made a bid, but Willis was not chosen. I believe at the time he told the council: "Thanks, I'll be back in November." And here he is.

Thanks for the clarification, WSP! That makes more sense. I wish he would not have come back this November. :/

This guy is just a freeloader like all of the other Tea Partiers in this town. They think they got shafted and will not rest until everyone else in the town comes down to their economic level.
BTW -- Those watchdogs see anything yet? With all that hollering about waste in this town you'd think the streets were flowing with City funds.
This organization is just what it is: a group of folks who get together, hold hands and bitch about how life has screwed them. Oh, I'm sorry, They bitch about how the City Government has screwed them while they drink clean water, enjoy clean streets, outstanding police and fire.
Geez .... some people's kids ...
