Insane Clown Posse to Join Charm Farm for DIY Street Fair Set
Band reunites after more than a decade and the Faygo-loving ICP will be joining them on stage.
After nearly 15 years since breaking up, Charm Farm is back together.
The pop band that embraced a techno-sound when most groups were knee-deep in grunge and alternative rock of the mid-'90s, is reuniting for one show for the DIY Street Fair at 9:45 p.m. today on the Metro Times stage, between the Emory and the Woodward Avenue Brewers.
But, that's not the only news coming from the Charm Farm performance: The Faygo-loving and onetime Ferndale boys of Insane Clown Posse will be joining Charm Farm on the stage for one song.
Each year the fair tries to provide a bit of a surprise performance for the audience, said Emily Husband, general manager of the Emory and one of the DIY Street Fair organizers. One year the group the Sights played on the roof of the Emory and another year the Barrettes – a ladies barbershop quartette – set up in the middle of the crowd to introduce the band Electric Six.
This year, ICP will be the DIY Street Fair's big surprise.

Hm. That doesn't seem very friendly?
Insane Clown Posse, like the music or not, is a product of Ferndale and they're a piece of history.
