Ground Turkey Being Recalled for Salmonella Concerns
Kroger and Honeysuckle brands are part of the voluntary callback since bacteria was found in a sample.
Approximately 185,000 pounds of ground turkey is being recalled after a sample showed a low level of salmonella infection.
Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. of Springdale, AR, announced Sunday that it is recalling Honeysuckle White, Kroger and HEB brands of 85-percent-lean fresh ground turkey products due to possible contamination from Salmonella Heidelberg.
There are no known illnesses associated with the contamination, Cargill said in a press release.
All packages include Est. P-963 on the label. Consumers are urged to return any packages of ground turkey itemslisted on Cargill's ground turkey recall website to stores where they were purchased for a full refund or check this complete list of the products involved in the recall. Consumers may also contact Cargill at 888-812-1646.
