Ferndale has declared a snow emergency from 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night through 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Ferndale water system supervisor Dan Harper.

Any person whose vehicle is parked on a city street during a snow emergency may be ticketed, fined or have his/her vehicle impounded.

A special parking permit may be issued by the Department of Public Works for any residential home that does not have a driveway. A maximum of two parking permits may be issued per such home.
