Today is the day – Primary Day.

The polls opened at 7 a.m., and at 8 p.m. they close. Throughout the day, registered voters will cast their ballots for candidates for Senate, Congress, State Representative, Oakland County Commissioner and several other county offices.

Ferndale voters in Precinct 6 and Precinct 7 will also vote on two Hazel Park Schools millage proposals.

So, what are we asking for from you? Simple: we're asking you to show us you voted today. Prove it to us! Snap a photo of yourself with an "I Voted" sticker, upload it here and maybe even tell us why you think it's important to vote.

You can upload a photo yourself to this gallery if you have a profile on Ferndale Patch, or you can email it or text it right to Ferndale Patch editor Jessica Schrader.

Be sure to include your name when submitting your "I Voted" photo.

See you at the polls, Ferndale!
