I am ground zero and the boom to me was not that bad ...all 3 of them...i say fireworks on a quiet night when you dont expect it...and also state law change january 1st about fireworks can you get the police to clear that one up too

I've heard fireworks coming from as close as next door. There's no way this was fireworks. It was shockingly loud. I'm at 9 & I-75. My house didn't shake like others have reported, but I definitely saw some type of flash outside. Very strange.

I am still not willing to buy that it was fireworks.

I am by 8 Mile and Woodward, and I heard it. Beyond the volume, it was not the same type of sound as fireworks. There was none of the whistle or popping sound.

I am a researcher in Canada, I have been trying to speak about these sonic booms being heard around the Globe and their is an Anwser, These sounds will continue to get a whole lot worse and the explanation and the research I have is to extensive to post on this website, I will say this 3360 years ago the Ancient Sumerians documented these sounds and booms in great detail, Everything they documented is happening in our time in history but no one is paying attention but very soon the world will be paying attention as this is not going to go away. I want to “muddy the waters” a bit by injecting some factual history into the discussion for your consideration. Some 3,630 years ago the ancient Sumerians watched with their own eyes as Planet X came flying through the solar system causing massive destruction in the entire solar

The Noise…
But now let’s get to the bottom line about the ancient Sumerians. The ancient
Sumerians who were eye witnesses to Planet X’s passing 3,630 years ago explicitly
recorded in their archives that Planet X could be heard passing through the solar
system. It made a “noise” which the Sumerians described as the sound of a great
wind blowing in the distance. They said that at first the sound was low, but the closer
Planet X came to the earth the louder the sound became until people were terrified by

The Inspired Word
I DO KNOW that the inspired Word of God explicitly speaks of a “noise” coming from
the sky that will be heard by people on the earth during the Tribulation period. Read
the Scripture text for this study again. In fact, our readers would be blessed if they
read the entire chapter in which this text occurs; Isaiah 24.

The context in this chapter is obviously speaking of the Tribulation period in which
some great unidentified nation or nations located in “the uttermost part of the
earth” from Israel is destroyed by “fire,” 24:6; 24:15-16. Does this suggest any
particular nation to our readers? Think about it! This chapter makes it clear that
during that time the very surface of the earth will become so unstable that the ground
will simply collapse beneath the feet of people as they walk or run on it, 24:1; 24:18.
What will they be running from? The Scripture explicitly states that people will be
fleeing “from the noise of the fear,” 24:18. In other words, fleeing from the sound
of “the fear.” It is obvious that whatever this “noise” is, it will strike “fear” into the
hearts of people to the extent that they will literally “flee” from it

These shakes and booms are becoming world wide folks. Happening less than a mile underground. What about terrorist tunnels. Is 11 years long enough for the ones who were not caught after 911 to have regrouped? Were did they hide? Did they go underground? If these are not natural, than just maybe it is terrorism?

Could be that this is caused by pressure on the bedrock. There is a phenomenon known as the piezoelectric effect. When crystals (rock) at subjected to pressure they emit electricity what could be happening is that when the rock has sustained pressure to a certain point it releases stored this energy quickly resulting in a pressure wave and resulting light (electricity) at the point of release. Just a therory. All that said it still fits in to the realm of the unknown, and God is still on the throne.

I'm not sure why no one is challenging Ken on his assertions, so I guess I will. Ken claims to be a "researcher in Canada" yet offers us no credentials beyond that. He also uses the English language at a middle school/high school level, which makes me question his claim, unless he is using the term "researcher" to simply mean someone who spends a lot of time surfing the internet. I'm not trying to make an ad hominem attack or pass judgement on him because of his level of education. But when he says he's a "researcher" he's trying to get us to make the jump to "research scientist with advanced degree", and I think most people with a level of education that high would be able to differentiate between "too" and "to", or "there" and "their". The errors he makes don't appear to be those of a non-native speaker of English but simply those of someone who didn't pay attention that well in English class. Ken offers no solid evidence for his claims about what's going on right now or about the "Ancient Sumerians." Ken, if you've got hard evidence that the authorities won't listen to, where is it? Well, this has been interesting to read. Seems some think it all is far from serious. Hummmm, I do not claim to have answers, but I do see these events picking up and spreading world wide. I do believe those laughing and making jokes may not be doing so in the near future. Do I believe end times are upon us? Perhaps. So Ken, where's your blogsite with all your evidence? As for what the "Ancient Sumerians" chronicled, all we have is your word that any of this happened and that they recorded it. Where's a link to a bona fide archive site where these texts can be viewed? I'm sorry, but with all of these question marks, I think Ken has a huge credibility issue. I am a Christian who does believe that at some point in time cataclysmic events will occur. But I'm not willing to see cataclysmic events behind every unexplained (so far) phenomenon in nature. And there are a lot of other explainations I'd be willing to entertain before subscribing to the theory that there is a Planet X that has already entered our solar system and is going to whoosh by planet Earth unleashing devestation that will end civilization as we know it. (No time line either, Ken. How long do the "Ancient Sumerians" indicate passed between the first indications and the final cataclysm? Days? Months? Generations?) If you want us to take you seriously, you have to do more than simply sound earnest.

My husband & I were at the Magic Bag seeing Echoes of Pink Floyd. I was in the ladies room & heard a loud boom. At first i thought it was the bands sound effects but soon realized it had to be something bigger. I didn't think of it again until I saw a video about it.

This is the most embarrassing section of comments I've ever seen. Since the Theatre Bizarre explanation seems the most plausible, has anyone actually attempted to verify it? I'm sure our neighbors on State Fair might not give us the FULL version of events (as I'm guessing blowing up the main stage - if that's actually what happened - wasn't quite legal), but I'm sure it would be an entertaining version of events. I wondered what the shaking of my house and bed was with the boom sound also. I did not get up to look to see or hear helicopters. I am near Pinecrest and 9 Mile. So whatever it was was heard and felt and seen for quite a distance and in many areas.

I heard 2 of the booms.....about 15 minutes apart....the first book I heard (and felt the sonic wave) near Blockbuster at 9 & Livernois. The second I heard and seen the flash while traveling southbound on Woodward. It did appear to be in the direction of Marshall and Hilton or the Railyard area....did NOT sound like fireworks....and I am 99.99999% sure it was not an intergalactic dogfight, UFO's, good vs bad aliens or low flying supersonic military aircraft.

It certainly was interesting however....I have been in war and have not seen anything quite the same....

My first thought was fracking, there is a oil/gas injection well in Ferndale. Which still doesn't explain the flash of light.

I was in Michigan for the holiday weekend and on the night if may 27 in several counties in southern Michigan people reported hearing very loud booms, so loud the it shook the ground and even homes News 3 in Battle Creek put a post on Facebook about it to see if they can't get to the bottom of it.
