Did You Get the Mailing? Ferndale Doesn't Endorse Advertised Water Program
The city does not endorse a private company that is contacting residents about an optional water line protection program.
The city of Ferndale's city manager’s office has recently been contacted by American Water Resources, a private company that offers an optional water line protection program to homeowners.
The company informed the office that it will send mailings to residents that advertise and promote their water line protection services.
Ferndale does not endorse the organization or the program, according to a press release the city send out Wednesday.
The city manager's office encourages residents who are curious about their responsibilities as a homeowner to contact their homeowners’ insurance provider for more information.

Curious why not.Pleasant Ridge advised this program last year and it seems a small price to pay considering the out of pocket expense without this insurance. I for one would be interested in this.
