A community event in honor of retiring Ferndale High School principal Herb Ivory will be held at the FHS gymnasium at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Ivory will retire at the end of this month after spending more than 40 years with the district.
The event on Wednesday is free and open to all and will include music, speeches and an opportunity to wish Ivory well as he enters the next phase of his life. Guests will meet in front of the school near the Herb Ivory Eagle. Find more information here.
In an interview with Patch earlier this month, Ivory shared memorable moments, advice for the FHS community and described his plans to continue working with youth. Read the full article here and be sure to add your stories and memories about Mr. Ivory in the comments section.
