5 Things to Know This Week in Ferndale

Get ready for the week ahead in Ferndale with these five things to know.

 

1. Board of Education meets Monday

The Ferndale Board of Education meets Monday at 7 p.m. at the Harding Administrative Center. You can find a link to the board's agenda here.

2. Ferndale City Council meets Monday

Ferndale City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Ferndale City Hall. View the full agenda here.

3. 'Tribute to the King' at library

A "Tribute to the King" by Elvis impersonator Greg Jaqua will be held at the Ferndale Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Visit the library's web site for more information.

4. 'The Facts of Life' continues at Ringwald Theatre

The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode continues at The Ringwald Theatre at 8 p.m. Monday. Back by popular demand, the Jamie Morris parody is playing Saturday-Mondays for a five-week run. Tickets are priced at $10 for Mondays. Find more information here.

5. Summer camp registration

There's still time to sign up for summer camp offered by Ferndale Recreation for kids between the ages of 6 and 12. The registration deadline for the Aug. 6-10 camp session is next Monday, July 30. The registration deadline for the Aug. 13-17 session is Aug. 6. Find more information here.

Also, on Wednesday evening at 7:00, Transition Ferndale meets at the Ferndale Library to discuss Chris Martenson's book, "The Crash Course." It's about the unsustainable future of our economy, our energy supply, and our environment. Martenson's conclusion is that in all these areas, the next 20 years will be very different from the last 20 years.
