  1. Awareness, Fun are Focus of Ferndale 'Green Week' Starting Monday
    The Ferndale Environmental Sustainability Commission, the DDA and local businesses are combining efforts for the fourth annual weeklong 'earth celebration.'
  2. Ferndale to Increase Enforcement of 2-Hour Parking on Troy, Saratoga
    Residents can get permits, which should cut down on tickets as the downtown area becomes more popular. The city of Ferndale will begin a one-year pilot program May 1 that aims to address the parking concerns of residents who live close to the downtown area.
  3. Ferndale City Council Begins Budgeting Process
    The recommended budget for fiscal year 2012-13 includes a tax increase from 3 mils to 3.75 mills, which is less than previously expected due to the reallocation of EVIP funding of almost $900,000.
  4. Ferndale Council OKs Liquor License for New Cigar Bar
    Secret Bar and Bistro, a new cigar bar and lounge, will be located at 315-319 W. Nine Mile Road.
  5. Homeless Man Arrested in Theft from Garage in Ferndale
    Police say the 34-year-old man stole items from a residential garage on Wordsworth Street after taking the garage door opener out of a resident's unlocked vehicle.
