Pearl Harbor Discussion for Tonight's Neighborhood Professor Series
The Neighborhood Professor series is in its second month and brings in Wayne State University professor of law and political science Brad R. Roth at 7 p.m. today at the Ferndale Public Library.
Roth will be speaking about Pearl Harbor and its Lasting Effects. His "presentation will focus on the daunting questions about the role of law in bridling the exercise of power, both at home and abroad, in the service of national security," the Friends of the Ferndale Library posted on its website. "Legal precedents from that conflict continue to haunt U.S. constitutional jurisprudence."

The library's neighborhood professor series brings in local college and university professors to discuss various topics.
The next one is Jan. 4 with School Craft assistant professor of Philosophy Mark Huston will discuss virtues and vices of conspiracy.
The first one took place on Nov. 2 with Wayne State University political science professor Kevin Deegan-Krause where he spoke about better ways to choose leaders.
