Downtown Ferndale's Third Thursdays: Bicycle Night
Downtown Ferndale will be buzzing next Third Thursday with its bike-ability.
May is Bike Month across the nation, and started on May 20, it's bike to work week. So, in honor of these campaigns, Ferndale's Downtown Development Authority is holding a Bicycle Night for its Third Thursday event.
The DDA is inviting residents and neighbors to ride their bicycles to town Third Thursday, May 19 from 5-9 p.m.
There will be on-street bike parking in designated spaces on West Nine Mile Road and in marked locations along Woodward Avenue. Cyclists will also be provided an opportunity to pick up paper work to license their bicycles, have their helmets properly fitted and safety tune their ride.
Businesses will also be offering Bicycle Night specials as a reward for riding to town.
Additionally, debuting that evening will be the DDA's brand new brochure -- Bicyclists’ Guide to Getting Around Town. It will include a map and bike rack locations.
Details of Bicycle Night and participating businesses will be available at www.DowntownFerndale.com.
